Venue change for Music Festival and White Dinner – Augusta event.

NEWS ALERT – September 3, 2016

Music Festival and White Dinner – Augusta event has been moved to Jessye Norman School of the Arts.

AUGUSTA, GA – Due to ground conditions at the Augusta Common resulting from tropical storm Hermine, the Labor Day Weekend Music Festival and White Dinner Augusta event, scheduled for September 4, 2016, has been moved indoors to the Jessye Norman School of the Arts (739 Greene Street).

The featured artists, Sounds of 824 and London Arrington will perform in the Ellis & Ann N. Johnson Gallery. The White Dinner component is sold out, and a handful of tickets remain for the Music Festival. Because of space constraints, seating priority will be given to existing ticketholders.

Garden City Jazz presents several programs annually in the Greater Augusta Area, providing performance opportunities for area jazz musicians and music students, while promoting awareness of the historical and cultural significance of jazz music.  A portion of proceeds will be donated to the James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils and the Wycliffe Gordon Scholarship at Augusta University.
